My name is Shawn. I am 32 years old.

I've been a member of this site for around 10+ years and have been active off and on (given time circumstances,)

I have a very mixed variety of art styles, but I do prefer to making creatures (fictional and non-fictional) opposed to humanoid figures. I've found anything without a humanoid shape seems to be my stronghold.

I've come across many faces on this site. And have worked with a some of them and admired the others.

My favorite artist on this site is Kritken. His imagination and visions inspire a few of my works and his model-making is phenomenal. Also, he may even know more about Metroid than myself (and I've never said that about anyone).

I've also grown fond of (paleo artist) HellRaptor, (literary author)Ridley's Ghost , (concept artist) Rodrigo Vega , and (draconic illustrator) TwilightSaint. They too have inspired works of mine in ways and styles i still use today.

I'm also heavily inspired by music. I play it according to my mood and it influences the style I use for what I am drawing.

I am highly in love with the paleo world. Mainly because it is the root of everything we know today. It's so far out of our reach, yet, we can still touch it today.

I'm highly interested in the visions and renditions of others i see on here and no matter how good or bad others may see your works, I always see good in everything you do. Art isn't about skill. It's about the effort and thought you put into your creations.

I may not appreciate some of the things people may say about my work. Whether it be my older or newer pieces. I do not give them the opportunity to troll, nor take the opportunity to put them down. Since I've joined, I, and others I've commented on and watched for these years have gotten better and we show our support to each other. We may not be the best, or they may be, but we give each other the support to keep making things

Change of name

Heyo! DemonRyo here. I've decided a change in name was in order for changes in some online status! It's a big change for me on here sinc I've had the same username for the last 14 years, but I felt it necessary to match it up with the rest of my service names. Changed that rickety old profile image I was using since way back in my high school days as well. It will be changing again as soon as I can figure out a good image to go with the name. Lots of changes in life happening lately, but everything is all for the better now. Returning to DA, getting back my art vibe, trying to attain more positive outlooks, trying to be more active in everything I do. It's a wild ride on a tough road, but it is slowly coming together.

Coming back... Again. lol

So I took like a 3 year hiatus from doing art and stuff. Wasn't intentional. Depression, anxiety, etc. You get it. A lot has been going on these past few years that just really messed with me and tore me up. I'll spare the details since I'm not the type who likes to receive sympathies. To the matter at hand... I've mostly recovered from all the mental and emotional damage and have finaly found the motivation to continue doing the one thing I love. Art. and I'm kicking off my return to the hobby with some fan arts and all that fun fancy stuff. I've found myself to have oddly gotten a little better after everything that happened. Probably the excitement of being able to do something again. I've rejected my page and everything on it for too long. I need some fresh new content and there will be plenty to come.

been messing around with some old/new stuff

so. over the last few months, ive been playing spore (used to think it was a terrible game until i found mods for it). I've been learning newer and newer building techniques for it and am still learning more. ive gone from being a terrible, generic builder to... something that even impresses myself. I'm going to start posting my creations here on my DA for everyone to enjoy and probably drop boxing the builds and linking to the showcase videos on my youtube channel to see how they act and function. got a few uploads coming very VERY soon. like... in the next 30 minutes soon...
